Day 10: A twist on the gingerbread house

We’ve been making a gingerbread house every year for a while now.  Nothing on a grand scale, no from scratch houses in the Palmer house!  But we do have fun!  Unfortunately, when we went to Hobby Lobby, there were no gingerbread houses left.  So, we settled for a Rice Krispies house.

Since there was only enough to make one house, we bought some big cookie cutters and the kids each made their own special thing–a Christmas tree, a snowman, and a gingerbread man.  It didn’t really turn out very well, but the kids had fun, anyway.  I think next year, we’ll stick with a regular gingerbread house.  Who knows, maybe we’ll even make it from scratch.
