A Bride for All Seasons

A Bride for All Seasons is a great compilation of four novellas written by some of my favorite authors.  Mary Conneally, Margaret Brownley, Robert Lee Hatcher, and Debra Clopton worked together to create this fun book.  Each author chose a season and wrote a story based on the idea of mail order brides.

Each of the brides in the book has been “ordered” through the Hitching Post Mail Order Bride Catalogue.  Men write in requesting certain brides, and women respond.  Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case turns out to be, the man in charge of the Catalogue, Melvin Hitchcock, has his own ideas about what the men need and what the women have to offer.

His “slight” changes to the wording of the ads and the responses creates some interesting situations when the couples meet for the first time.  But the resulting romances are surely matches made in Heaven.  If you’re looking for a fun read, this is it!
