Week Two Complete!!!  I have to be honest, I was a LOT disappointed when I stepped onto the scale after completing week 2.  I was hoping for another 2 lb loss, but I got .6 lbs.  Sigh.  (I did replace two of my ‘plain yogurt’ proteins for Orange Leaf, so I suppose I was probably asking for it.)

The good news is that I did lose 2% body fat and another 1/2 inch around my waist, which is pretty cool!  I also noticed that my biceps are bigger…so, yeah, I’m getting stronger.  😉  I was able to fit into a pair of capris that have never quite fit comfortably, and I can tell that I am more toned and stronger.

I tried one of the ‘cheat’ recipes provided by the program, and it was actually really good!  It’s basically an oatmeal raisin cookie–but the ingredients are 2 mashed bananas, a cup of oatmeal, 1/4 cup of raisins, some cinnamon & salt.  (I omitted the 1/4 cup of walnuts.)  The cookies taste like banana-y oatmeal…and they are actually pretty good!  Definitely worth sacrificing a yellow.  😉

My favorite meal BY FAR is the beef and broccoli I made last week.  Actually, I made it twice.  😉  I buy the big packages of frozen broccoli at Costco, so I use one of the smaller bags, and I add leftover steak, which I cut into bite size chunks.  I just put about 1 tsp of olive oil in the pan, dump in the frozen broccoli and cover until it’s pretty much cooked, then add in the steak to heat up.  I love the packages of brown rice and quinoa that I’ve been getting at HEB–they cook up in the microwave in 90 seconds.  Since I normally have extra red & greens left over, I can have two servings, which is a HUGE plate!  So yummy!

In Week 3, I’m attempting the doubles, which means 2 workouts a day.  Yesterday was Total Body Cardio & Pilates.  I was EXHAUSTED at the end of the day, but it feel great to work hard!  I’m sticking really closely to the diet plan for this week, so hopefully I see better results than last week.  I don’t think I’m going to do the special 3 day diet at the end, but you never know!  Five days to go!!!

I’ll update you next week on my final results.  🙂
