Corrie Ten Boom’s story has always inspired me. To read a first hand account of one woman’s struggle to do right in a time of terrible persecution reminds me that, while life may not always be easy, God does hear our prayers and He is there, just at the right moment to help us as only He can.
In the young reader’s edition of The Hiding Place, Elizabeth & John Sherrill share Corrie’s first-hand account of her fight to help her Jewish neighbors in Nazy occupied Netherlandsin a such a way that children can begin to understand the horrors of WWII.
Her story is unbelievable–not just because the atrocities are so hard to comprehend–but also because of the strength of her faith and her immense courage.
If your children are studying WWII, I highly recommend this book. It will challenge their faith and inspire them to stand up for what is right.
