The Potter’s Lady is the second book in Judith Miller’s Refined by Love series. This book follows the career of Rose McKay, the eldest of Ewan’s three sisters.
Rose has just returned from boarding school, where she was trained as an artist. Even after winning an award, she was snubbed by the other students because of her lowly background. This causes her to be very prideful and stubborn as she attempts to make her way in the world.
Though Rose is being courted by the wealthy Joshua Harkness, she finds herself working side by side with Rylan Campbell in her brother’s new business venture–a pottery. The author reveals early on that Harkness is not who he appears to be, but Rose is very slow to catch on.
The amount of deception in the book seems a little over the top, but the book has a decent story and a nice ending.
