Hudson has been waiting and waiting for his school to arrive, so he could hardly contain himself when the box from Mother Goose Time arrived today! Since this is our first box, it included the Welcome pack, in addition to the monthly packet and daily lesson packets.
My first project was to put together our “classroom.” Since we might do some of our days at my sister’s house, I love the option to use a poster board (like those science fair projects we did as kids) and create a traveling classroom.
The Welcome packet included the number tree, alphabet ‘grass,’ weather goose, and cloud labels. The calendar with the daily labels was in the first lesson, and, after searching a bit, I found the theme poster in Day 3. I do wish everything for the month would have been in the monthly kit so I wouldn’t have to search for it. The Welcome packet mentions a letter and number, but I couldn’t find the cut out number it mentions or the letter cards.
For the most part, Mother Goose Time is preschool in a box, with complete lesson plans and pretty much everything you need for 20 days of preschool every month. I used this program years ago and loved it, but eventually I stopped using it. When I started looking for something for Hudson, this is the first program I thought of because it is so easy to use.
This month’s theme is baby animals, and I know Huddy will enjoy making all the crafts. I’m really excited about the books that come with the program–and the book the kids will get to make! They will get to add a new animal every day. 😊
