Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas with Random Acts of Christmas Kindness is one of my very favorite Palmer holiday traditions. It’s such a fun way to give back after we’ve been blessed at Christmas–to remember what Christmas is about (the Greatest Gift!) and to really extend the focus from what we get for Christmas to how we can give joy to others.

Because I’m having surgery on the 16th and will likely still be recovering at the beginning of the Twelve Days of Christmas, we are going to do things a little bit differently this year. I’m going to ask my three older kiddos (17, 15, and 13) to create their own 12 Days of RACK. Each of them will choose four of their favorites from years past and get everything ready before December 26th. The RACK will be a surprise to the other kids (so, yes, they might duplicate–that’s ok!) and, more importantly, for the little guy, who is just 3. I think this will be the first year he really gets the fun of our RACK tradition. 🙂
