Looking for something for your kids to do while they are home during the Great COVID-19 School Closing of 2020? The IDEA Skills Workshop provides fun practice in math and writing, along with creative thinking and art projects. Not only that, but kids can brush up on scripture and enter to win a prize if they complete 5 book reports!
What is IDEA? IDEA stands for Invention, Discovery, Exploration, and Adventure. All the projects in the IDEA course are centered around this fun theme.
Is there a target age? I designed this course for my kids when they were in 4th, 6th, and 8th grades. I created activities ranging from a 1st grade to 12th grade levels. Little ones might need a little more help, while older kids can get creative and go more in depth.
What is included? Each week includes the following:
- Math practice for 1st grade-Algebra II
- Writing practice each week (paragraphs to essays, depending on age level)
- Reading BINGO–read 5 books and enter to win a prize!
- IDEA Creative Thinking projects
- Scripture reading & reflection
- Art projects
Kids can complete activities on a computer or via the FREE Canvas App on their tablet/phone.
