Focus on Faith

Last week, we talked about your big picture goals. Who do you want to be…what do you want to accomplish? This week, we’ll talk about the realities of that. Most of us have lots more on our plates than motherhood. We have to make tough choices every day about what we say yes to…and what we don’t.

For me, the big picture for faith is knowing God and using my gifts to serve Him. How do we know Him? The same way we get to know anyone–by learning about Him and talking to Him: by reading the Word and praying. So, in my day, I know that I need to make space to read the Bible and pray.

Focus on Fun

But financial freedom has implications far beyond my own circumstances. Creating financial freedom sets an example for my children, too, and my grandkids, etc. I want to teach my children the values of financial freedom–I don’t want them to struggle with debt or day to day living. And I hope that our efforts to become free inspire others to do so!

First Date

One of the most memorable verses in the book of Esther for me is “for such a time as this.” What would it be like to be chosen for a special task–a task that would glorify God, and yet take extreme courage and faith to complete? In Krista McGee’s book, First Date, Addy Davidson gets …
