ANMP 2015

Over the weekend I was privileged to attend the 2015 Association of Network Marketing Professionals Conference in Dallas. To sit in that room with the greats of the profession was amazing! As I sat there with my 13 year old daughter listening to Sarah Robbins and Donna Johnson and Orrin Woodward and Jordan Adler and Kody Bateman and Todd Falcone…I couldn’t help but think about the women I know who didn’t make it to the event.

I almost didn’t go…the friend I was going with had a back injury and I didn’t want to go alone. Thankfully, my husband realized how much I wanted to go and made a family trip out of it. So, I get it. I understand why they decided not to go. But as I sat there I thought about the road not taken. If you’re in Arbonne, why aren’t you showing up to hear from Donna Johnson? If you’re in Rodan & Fields, why aren’t you super excited to meet Sarah Robbins? This is a basic element of success–showing up. And the takeaways from this weekend of collaboration are priceless!

On Facebook, Todd Falcone asked for the best takeaways from the event. I thought about the revelation I had in the car on the way home. My daughter–all of my kids really–was exposed to these amazing leaders. To a level of success that we don’t see around us in our everyday lives.

Growing up, the most successful people in my life were the small town Dr and the pharmacist. My daughter is meeting multi-millionaires. She can say she knows them–and some of them know her by name! What is that going to mean for her future? For the goals she sets for herself? For what she believes is possible?

So… Here’s my takeaway. Even if I never achieve that level of success, just by being in the profession and showing up, I’m allowing my children the opportunity to dream bigger and be more. That is mind boggling. And it’s why I will never ever throw in the towel or stop sharing this amazing profession.
