I was so excited to be chosen to review Karen Witemeyer‘s latest novel, No Other Will Do! Witemeyer is another one of my favorite authors, and this book is another great read!

Emma Chandler, accompanied by the suffragette aunts who raised her, has purchased Harper’s Station and turned it into a women’s colony. This little town is run by women and inhabited only by women and their children. It is a safe haven for women who have been abused or who simply have no other place to go. In a time where the options for women are very limited, Harper’s Station provides a refuge and a place for women to truly use their gifts.

Unfortunately, some people are not happy about this women’s colony. In fact, the women have begun receiving threats. As the threats become more dangerous, Emma decides that she has to reach out to the one man whom she trusts with all her heart, Malachi Shaw.

Malachi, a skilled explosives expert for the railroad, drops everything and comes running when he gets Emma’s message. She is the one person in his life who loved him unconditionally–and she once saved his life.

Together, they embark on a quest to discover who is threatening the peaceful life at Harper’s Station. Along the way, they must face danger–and the feelings they have for each other. As usual, Witemeyer delivers humor, adventure, and romance in a book that kept me interested and entertained from beginning to end.
