A February Bride

Allie Andrews loves Marcus Hall, but she is determined to save him from a miserable life with her–so she leaves him at the altar on their wedding day.  Of course, the fact that he’s her best friend’s brother also alienates her from her best friend and a family that she loves.  Not to mention the fact that she can’t stop loving Marcus.  Poor Marcus is mystified–he loves Allie and can’t understand why she wouldn’t want to go through with their wedding.

When Marcus’ sister shows us at Allie’s door asking her to be her maid of honor in February, Allie has to choose to join her world again…even if it means seeing Marcus.  The two soon find that their feelings can’t be hidden under a rug.  Allie’s struggle to trust God with her future, instead of allowing fate or a family curse to determine her actions, is a main theme in the book.

A February Bride, by Betsy St. Amant is a sweet book that is just perfect for the week of Valentine’s Day!
