I can always count on Mary Connealy for a fun story with a sweet romance that will surely make me laugh out loud. Now & Forever, the second novel in the Wild at Heart series, does not disappoint!

The series, which tells the tale of three sisters posing as men to please their father & help him build a legacy in remembrance of their older (&only) brother, began with the youngest sister, Kylie. Now it’s Shannon’s turn. Shannon loves her sheep, but she’s intrigued by wild Matthew Tucker.

When she follows him up the mountain, she gets more than she bargained for. She rescues Tucker from an angry mama grizzly…by pushing him off a cliff into Slaughter river. Together they escape the treacherous river, only to find themselves in another dangerous situation–this time as husband and wife.

The story of how the loner Tucker and independent Shannon get out of the river and end up in each other’s arms will keep you entertained and provide more than one LOL moment. Unfortunately for my 13 year old, though, this book spends a little too much time on characters contemplating being “fully and completely married.” Though there are no graphic scenes in Connealy’s books, there’s enough innuendo in this one to put it on the shelf for several more years.
