Bake Sale!

Megan is participating in her first high school fundraiser tomorrow–a bake sale.  I’m happy to say that I felt up to a baking marathon, and I just may have redeemed myself from my mom failure in May!

Shortly after Hudson was born, we were asked to bring goodies for one of Megan’s performances…and, being that I was not doing well and taking care of a newborn,poor Megan had to bake treats on her own. She did an amazing job, but, of course, I felt terribly guilty. 

Soooo…we made some really fun treats!

Since the bake sale is for volleyball, we made these super cute volleyball sugar cookies. I used food markets to draw the designs…instructions here: http://pin.it/R0mdtj8

  
And, since I’ve been craving chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting from Red Oak Bakery, I had to try making some of those–from scratch, of course. 😊 We used this recipe with a few tweaks (not gluten free, but these are fantastic!!):  http://pin.it/MvSw5c-
