Hearts Entwined

Hearts Entwined contains novellas from four of my favorite authors, Karen Witemeyer, Mary Connealy, Regina Jennings, and Melissa Jagears. In this great compilation, each author spins a tale that follows “the winding path of romance.”

Wittemeyer’s “The Love Knot” is a sweet tale set in the author’s Harper’s Station, a woman’s colony.  In this tale, a man and a woman who were separated by a misunderstanding find themselves brought back together through an unusual circumstance.

Connealy’s “The Tangles Tied that Bind” brings readers to the next generation of the Kincaid family. This story finds Maggie and Connor Kincaid all grown up. While Connor has been away, Maggie has made plans that don’t include him, despite their obvious affection for each other.

Jennings “Bound and Determined” is a humorous account of a headstrong young army officer who is punished for a reckless, yet heroic, decision by being forced to escort a retired officer, his headstrong daughter, and a herd of camels across the desert.

Jaeger’s “Tied and True” is a sweet story about a wealthy young woman and the young man she loves. Unfortunately, Calvin doesn’t think he is good enough for Marianne. In trying to prove to him that she cares more for him than for wealth, Marianne goes to great lengths that eventually put her in danger.

All four stories are fun and engaging, though readers familiar with Witemeyer’s Harper’s Station books and Connealy’s Kincaid series will find their stories more enjoyable.

This is a great book for a rainy spring day!
