Made to Last

Miranda Woodru is a fledging celebrity with her own homebuilding show, From the Ground Up.  To her viewers, it looks like “Randy” has it made, but in her heart, she knows just how wrong that picture is.  She’s been hiding a secret pain behind her show persona for the past three years.  And, just when it seems like everything is perfect, Miranda’s make believe world begins to tumble down when her producers decides to introduce her husband to the world.  Problem is…she doesn’t have a husband.

The man she was supposed to marry disappeared on her without a trace shortly after the show began.  No problem–the producers come up with a brilliant plan:  hire a fake husband to increase her show’s ratings.  Unfortunately, Miranda has more feelings for the reporter who’s come to do an expose.  Will she finally risk it all to tell the truth, or will she continue to hold on to her “fake” life on her show instead of allowing God to give her more than she imagined?

The moral of the story is that the truth really does set you free, and the story shows how true that is!  Made to Last, by Melissa Tagg, is a fun read, though Miranda’s propensity for lying grated on my nerves a bit & the ending seemed a bit too good to be true.   Oh, well-I do love happy endings!
