Stuck Together is the third book in Mary Connealy’s Trouble In Texas series, which follows the misadventures and romances of a group of friends who had served in the Civil War.  Vince, Jonas, and Dare were all imprisoned in the Andersonville prison, where there were Regulators–in charge of keeping the other prisoners in line.  The tough life brought them together and also helped them to become who they are.  Luke, the rancher, Jonas, the preacher, Dare, the doctor, and Vince, the lawyer.

All four men ended up in Broken Wheel, TX, when they rushed to help Luke reclaim his father’s ranch in the first book in the series.  This novel focuses on Vince, who is serving as the town’s sheriff.  As he works on helping Jonas’ sister, Tina, find a suitable place for the current prisoner, Lana Bullard (the gal who tried to murder Dare in book 2), he also finds himself dealing with issues with his own family and an anonymous criminal selling alcohol to the local tribe.

As usual, Connealy’s book is filled with great characters and interesting situations.  I enjoyed learning more about Vince and Tina and watching their romance blossom.  Both are afraid to trust someone else and must learn to let God lead them.  Great lesson for all of us to learn!  Stuck Together is a fun book!
