21 Day Fix Week Two!

Just a quick update today on my progress with the 21 Day Fix.  In the first week, I lost 2.2 pounds and an inch all around.  Not bad!  (My hubby reminded me that with 90 days of P90x, I only lost 9 pounds, so 2.2 in one week is pretty great!)

My favorite part of the program so far is the meal plan.  I LOVE the colored cups.  I’m a little strange when it comes to diets–I want to be told exactly what to eat, but I’m picky!  Plus, I don’t have a lot of time for fancy meal preps.  The 21 Day Fix plan is the perfect combination for me–I can put whatever I want in the cups, but at the same time I know exactly what I can eat each day.  It’s great, too, because it doesn’t take much time to figure out.  I can even make the same dinner I make for the rest of the family, then just portion out what fits in my cups.

I like it better than Weight Watchers/My Fitness Pal, too, because with those plans you can sneak in a Twinkie if you want to.  But there’s no Twinkie container with the 21 Day Fix!  It ensures that I’m making good choices throughout the 21 Days.

I have to tell you…the first 3 days were ROUGH for me!  Whether it was sugar withdrawals or just getting used to spreading out my protein, etc, I had a hard time making it through.  But, by the third day, most of my crazy hunger and cravings were gone, and my body settled in.
