One of my favorite memories is when my sister and her family visited us in Texas for spring break back in 2011. Since they were there for St. Patrick’s Day, we decided to make St. Patty’s extra fun. That turned into a tradition for my kids (I still use the same notes), and, even now that they’re older, they still look forward to seeing what awaits them on St. Patrick’s Day. (Of course, this will be the first year Huddy gets to play!)

When the kids go to bed on the 16th, the leprechauns come to play. They leave a trail of Shamrocks leading to different treats with little notes.

First…some green shamrock necklaces they made years ago.

Then t-shirts…(yes, there are five…my niece is spending the night & I can’t leave her out!)

Of course, we need some fun photos…

A “lucky” breakfast…

And some treats for the day…

It’s not hard to make some really fun memories—and it doesn’t cost a fortune, either. I reuse the same shamrocks —and even the same sticky notes!—every year.

One of my favorite pictures of my kids (2012):

No group photo this year…I was very pregnant! Lol (2016)

And Hudson’s first St. Patrick’s Day. (2017)
