I’m starting off with a disclaimer: I am not a Beachbody coach! I do love BB because of their focus on fitness and nutrition. It’s a great community of folks helping others get healthy. And I love that.

So I just finished Day 8 of the 80 Day Obsession. I started off with A Little Obsessed and then jumped in last week. I’m blogging about this because…really, I think I feel like if I tell the world, then I have to stick with it, right?!

So, if you look back in the archives, I have done a few BB programs. I went through P90x with my husband and then again on my own once or twice, and I’ve done several rounds of 21 Day Fix. I used to run and do HIIT workouts. But, I’ve always struggled with meeting my goals. And then I got pregnant…at 38. God surely has a sense of humor! lol

After H was born in 2016, I never felt fully recovered. I was able to do Country Heat, but anything more than that, even going for a walk, was extremely painful for me. It hurt to even turn over in bed. Thankfully, a friend ‘made’ me go to the chiropractor early this year, and I feel like a new person! I can sleep with no pain and even jog (a little), which is completely amazing.

So, I felt like it was time to jump back in and really do something about my health. Here’s my plan: I printed out the 80 day calendar, and I’m crossing off each day as I do it. I’m committed to doing my workout every day. Yes, there are 60. minute. workouts. But I can do it.

Nutrition is my biggest challenge. So, I added in my little boxes on my workout calendar and made a weekly plan that will hopefully keep me on track. I found something that works for me…not a lot of variety, but I think I can stick with it.

So, my meals for week 2:

  1. Shakeo with fruit & spinach
  2. Lunch: Veggie stir-fry (21 day recipe)
  3. Celery & peanut butter
  4. Fruit and yogurt
  5. Dinner: I’m left with a Red, Yellow, Green, Orange, and Blue…I’m thinking I can do a protein, a small potato with cheese, and a salad.

I’m not a huge fan of Shakeo because I can’t stand the taste of Stevia, but I have a box left over, so I’m going to use it up. That stuff is expensive! Once it’s gone, I’ll have to figure something else out for #1. 🙂

I’m 10% done–yay me! Any tips on sticking with a program?

Update: I did it! I literally cried after the last workout–this 80 days took everything I had. I really didn’t think I could do it–and then I did! I didn’t stick to the nutrition plan 100% all the way through, but I never missed a workout. And I am so proud of my results! I lost about 6% body fat and 10 pounds, and lots of inches!
