If there’s one thing Annie Wilkerson can’t stand…it’s cowboys.  And Dylan Taylor is the worst of the lot.  She is sure that this smooth-talking, good looking cowboy is up to no good, just like her Daddy and all the other cowboys who loved and left her mom.

But when Dylan needs Annie’s help with his favorite horse, Annie decides to make him a deal.  She’ll help him if he will help her with the new lovelorn column that’s been thrown at her.  If she doesn’t succeed, she’ll lose her job and have no way to support her little sister and her nephew.

In The Trouble with Cowboys, by Denise Hunter, readers discover, along with Annie, that things aren’t always as they appear.  We all have ‘stuff’ hidden away inside that colors how we look at the world and at the people around us.  As Dylan struggles to show Annie his heart, Annie must make a decision–will she trust in God, or will she continue to allow her preconceptions and her need to control her life to wall in her heart?

I enjoyed this book.  It was a good story with a nice ending.
