Playing the Part

Playing the Part is the third book in Jen Turano‘s A Class of Their Own series. In this book, readers get to learn more about Lucetta Plum, an actress and friend to Henrietta and Millie (the subjects of the first two books in the series).

Lucetta has become quite famous and has captured the attention of an unscrupulous admirer who will do anything to capture her (literally!). To get her to safety, Abigail Hart, an elderly widow who has taken the three girls under her wing, takes her to her grandson’s estate out of town.

However, while both Bram and Lucetta seem to like each other, they are both hiding their true selves from each other–AND from everyone else in their lives! As they work to save Lucetta, they must decide whether or not to reveal their secrets.

Like the other books in the series, Playing the Part has moments of suspense and hilarity as Turano invites readers into the lives of her characters. Fantastic fiction with a great lesson about being true to yourself–I highly recommend it!
